2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact and inquiry data — name, email address, company name, phone number, website URL, and anything you write into our booking, application, or contact forms.
- Client engagement data — once you engage us as a client, the information you share to deliver the work (access credentials, brand assets, content, billing details).
Information collected automatically
- Usage analytics — we run a self-hosted, privacy-preserving analytics instance (Umami) at a.connecteraco.com. It records page views, referrers, country (derived from IP, not stored), browser, and device class. It does not set tracking cookies, does not build cross-site profiles, and respects browser “Do Not Track.”
- Server logs — standard web-server logs (IP address, user-agent, timestamps) are retained for security and abuse-prevention purposes for up to 30 days.
Information from third parties
When you book a call or apply to a program, the form is embedded from GoHighLevel (LeadConnector). They process the submission on our behalf and pass it to our CRM. When you load any page, the browser fetches fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as a normal part of that request.
3. How we use information
- To respond to inquiries and deliver the services you ask for.
- To send service-related email (proposals, project updates, invoices).
- To send occasional marketing email if you opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To measure aggregate site traffic and improve the site.
- To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal bases (EU/UK visitors)
If you are in the EU, UK, or Switzerland, our legal bases are:
- Contract — to provide services you have requested.
- Legitimate interest — to run and secure our website, respond to inbound interest, and improve our services.
- Consent — for marketing email and any optional cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — to comply with tax, accounting, and other applicable law.
5. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us run the business — including GoHighLevel (CRM and form processing), our email provider, our hosting provider (Coolify on our own infrastructure), and our payment processor (see below). They are contractually bound to use the data only to provide services to us.
- Payment processors — when you pay an invoice, payment is handled by an industry-standard third-party processor (e.g., Stripe). Card details are entered directly into the processor’s interface and are never stored on ConnectEra servers. The processor’s own privacy policy applies to the payment.
- Authorities — if required by law, court order, or to enforce our agreements and protect our rights.
- Successors — if ConnectEra is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred to the successor entity, subject to the same protections.
6. International transfers
ConnectEra is based in the United States. If you access the site from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US, which may have different data-protection laws than your jurisdiction. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
7. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above:
- Inquiry data that does not turn into a client relationship: up to 24 months.
- Client records (for tax, accounting, and dispute purposes): up to 7 years after the engagement ends, or longer where the law requires it.
- Server logs: up to 30 days.
- Marketing email lists: until you unsubscribe.
